Vol I: Myopic

He was young
A poor broke skater
Once had dreams
To escape forever.

She was a girl
Home south of Denver
Moved around oft
Cause of daddies temper.

Ah-Ahhh
Ah-Ah-Ah-Ahhhh
Ah-Ahhh
Ah-Ah-Ah-Ahhhh

Built up the nerve
To go and ask her,
Well-prepared
Calligraphied letter.

She chuckled the thought
Threw aside the paper,
Walked on by
Said "She would never."

That simple phrase
Crushed his effort
His last thought
Stay a pretender.

Ah-Ahhh
Ah-Ah-Ah-Ahhhh
Ah-Ahhh
Ah-Ah-Ah-Ahhhh

Pretend.
She did not offend.

Walking past
laughing with her friends.

Goes home to lock the door.
Screaming that he can't live no more.

News breaks in on channel five,
A belt had taken whom she denied.

Another teen gone by the knife.
Myopic was her mind.

Ah-Ahhh
Ah-Ah-Ah-Ahhhh
Ah-Ahhh
Ah-Ah-Ah-Ahhhh
